The selection of designs shown in this gallery are examples of previous work from the "Egg-ceptional" Collection, an original concept featuring highly collectable miniature works of art in the form of individual freestanding wooden eggs, as well as egg and egg cup sets. Tabby Cat	Yorkshire Terrier
Popular pet designs carried out on a turned sycamore egg and hornbeam egg cup. Fitted together these are approximately 3.5" high. As well as being a complete picture on the egg itself, the bottom half of the design is repeated on the front of the egg cup into which it fits so that when displayed together they also form a complete picture. Wren	Blue Tit
Particularly appropriate are birds as subject matters for these birch eggs (approx size 2.5" x 1.75") with a flattened base for standing. The pyrographic artwork covers the entire surface area. Traditional monochrome pyrography is ideally suited to the natural colouring of the wren depicted on the left; in the case of the blue tit on the right, enhancing the pyrographic shading with coloured lightfast ink proves more effective for this brightly coloured bird.

Hedgehog in Flowerpot	Hibernating Hedgehog
Two very different designs of the ever popular hedgehog are represented here. On the left, the artwork is again carried out on a birch egg. On the right, a hedgehog in a tucked up hibernation position forms the all over design on this beech egg displayed on a birch stand, fitted together approx 3.5" high.
